Faculty Search Committee Train-the-Trainer Course

Ensuring that UMD’s search and selection processes are fair and welcoming is critical for recruiting an excellent workforce. To build the capacity of faculty and staff to support these goals, ADVANCE and Belonging & Community offer the Faculty Search Committee Train-the-Trainer Course, which focuses on increasing participants’ knowledge and awareness of UMD policies and practices related to faculty search and selection, evidence-based best practices for recruiting and hiring top talent, and workshop facilitation skills.

The course is designed for faculty and staff involved in recruitment, evaluation, and/or administration, and prepares participants to facilitate faculty search committee workshops! Lunch will be provided.
