October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). DVAM is an annual national campaign to unite advocates across the nation in their efforts to raise awareness of the potential signs of domestic violence and to promote the resources available for support and intervention. Throughout October, a variety of groups and organizations at UMD will be hosting a series of events and activities designed to educate, support, and inspire action within our community. You can look forward to workshops on how to help a friend, the Clothesline Project, the annual Purple Lights Night, and more! Join in October for a month of awareness and action!
